Summer is in full force and we love it! With flowers in full bloom, our BBQ in daily use, and our pool time increased – we are happy as can be! There is so much going on in July we couldn’t possibly list them all but here is where you can be sure to find us this summer in the OKC area:
- July 2: Full Moon Bike Ride & Sunset Run
- July 4: Happy Independence Day!
- July 6: barre3 Free Community Workout
- July 7-11 Mary Poppins presented by Lyric Theater
- July 17: Dancing in the Gardens
- July 21-24: Big Fish presented by Lyric Theater
- July 23: Astronomy Night in the Garden
Reoccurring events to keep in mind with these long summer evenings: Shakespere in the Park, Sonic Movie Nights (Wednesday evenings), and Twilight Concert Series
In July, we are all about succulents. Adding these small plants to your outdoor table or throughout your home make your home feel warmer and have a little bit of a vacation feel. The plus side is that they only require about four hours of indirect/direct sunlight daily and they usually only need to be watered once every 7-10 days.
A variety of summer staple fruits and veggies are in season this month too. Watermelon, Cherries, Blueberries, Peaches, Corn, Avocado, Peppers, and a variety of fresh herbs!
Need a good book to read this month? We recently picked up The Vacationers by Emma Straub. This is an easy summer read for travel or lying by the pool. Enjoy! If you need a heavier read, we just finished The Imperfectionists and loved it ;)
Don't forget: this month we also have our Semi Annual Sale!
