Caught Between a Rock and Transitional Dressing
I cannot even begin to tell you how much I hate the term "transitional dressing" mostly because most people have no idea what I am talking about and it just sounds a little odd. But, we spend half the year needing transitional clothing alas you will see lots of blog posts coming up about how to transition into fall with ease. Soon, the mornings will be crisp with that clean fresh air and leaves will start to fall. Fall weather and the clothing is like a beacon of hope that all things are possible.
This is no means in a novel concept but it is a great way to get more longevity from your summer tanks and tees. Putting a lightweight bomber, especially these adorable metallic bombers, over a brightly colored tank is a great way to refresh your otherwise out of season tank top. Top it off with some edgy jewelry and viola - you look weekend chic!
While layering is fantastic, sometimes we just don't want a jacket look. Reach for a unique piece to throw over our tanks. This heathered cotton raglan is cut on the bias with hand painted brush strokes for a cool, fun look.
Lightweight Long Sleeves.
The ultimate perfect piece for your transitional wardrobe is a lightweight long sleeve tee. Long sleeves are a year round staple for many women (including myself!). It offers a chic and polished look that a short sleeve tee or tank top just can't do!! I like to think of starting to wear long sleeves as an encouragement to the universe to bring fall sooner but practically they really go with everything. Pair them with pants or jeans for the cooler days, and skirts or shorts for warmer days.
